Here is a quick run-through of some of the Christie highlights on UK terrestrial TV from Christmas Day until New Years Day. If you have access to streaming sites such as Britbox you can search for a wider variety but it is far more fun to sit down and enjoy something at the same time as others …
December 29 – 31 look particularly enticing. I haven’t included all the Suchet Poirots (apart from Hercule Poirot’s Christmas) because they are dotted all over the place, usually in the early hours of the morning. Otherwise, apart from Lucy Worsley’s documentary series about AC, all the productions are either Hickson Marples or feature films; the Orient Express is the good (Finney) version. It is strange that the Drama Channel has ditched Nemesis, At Bertram’s Hotel, Sleeping Murder and The Murder at the Vicarage from its Marple series – they are amongst the best.
