Artificial Intelligence has been used to create videos of what purports to be Agatha Christie giving a series of writing lessons for budding writers, using Agatha Christie’s own written and spoken words – see the link below. It would be interesting to know whether Lucy Foley and Sophie Hannah, who have been producing new stories featuring Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot respectively, think about this.
I have yet to; I did once start to write a story featuring the first meeting of Captain Hastings and Miss Lemon (after Poirot’s funeral) – it had a working title of The Code of Miss Lemon. I thought it was about time that they actually met on the page rather than just on the screen, but I couldn’t really get it to work. Maybe with a bit of Swigatha’s advice to hand I’ll give it another go.
